I've been at this for a very long time, and it's hard to believe I've been making music for almost 50 years! And in this time, I've learned to appreciate how much passion I had for music at such a young age. Writing my first song at 14, I continued to grow and explore as a writer...
In 2024 I released the single, “Put On Your Red Dress,” a very South of the Border Latin song! If you like trumpets, you’ll love this! Although I wrote my first song way back in the late 70’s, I didn’t release any of my music until 2010! That’s a long story and if you are interested in learning about that story, I’m working on a book, “Music Inside-The Musical Journey of Don Johns.” I’ve been working on that for a while and have no idea when I’ll get it finished, so hang in there if you are wanting to read it!
